Although the keto diet is an effective tool for most people who try it, there are some who may not do as well. For those people, and you may be one of them, we usually recommend a low-carb rather than a keto diet. Low-carb can mean anything less than 100 grams per day, but you want to try 50 grams to start. The keto diet doesn’t work for everyone. This diet is supposed to help you make ketones from fats, either from what you eat or from your own stored fat. The induction time for the ketosis diet is variable, depending on carb intake, glycogen reserves and other factors that lead to the production of ketones. The ketogenic diet involves a low carbohydrate intake, moderate protein intake and high fat intake. Reducing carbs and replacing them with healthy fats can cause your body to enter a metabolic state known as ketosis. Following the keto diet plan may be an effective method for weight loss.
